Cool Stuff

CEREC Technology
A state of the art  innovation available in in my office is the "Computer-assisted design-Computer-assisted manufacture" crown, or "CAD-CAM." The company that is foremost in this technology is CEREC. This crown is milled by a computer to fit your tooth precisely, thus eliminating the laboratory step in manufacturing the crown.
With CEREC'S CAD-CAM technology, we design your crown on the CAD-CAM then your crown is milled while you wait, thus eliminating the second appointment and the temporary crown. These CEREC crowns are milled out of pure ceramic.
Advantages:
  • CEREC crowns are made in one visit, saving considerable time for the patient and also saving time and cost for the dentist.
  • With CEREC, there is no need for a temporary crown, which eliminates a significant potential discomfort for the patient.
  • CEREC crowns have no metal in them, and thus are reasonably esthetic.
  • CEREC material and technology can also be used for fillings. Since they are made out of porcelain, they are more durable than white composite fillings.
  • While the initial investment in CEREC technology is expensive, it saves money over the long run because there is no extra lab technician fee for the dentist, and only one appointment is required, not two.

Waterlase Laser Dentistry
Waterlase Dentistry uses laser energy and a gentle spray of water to perform a wide range of dental procedures – without the heat, vibration and pressure associated with the dental drill. With many procedures, it’s possible to use less anesthetic, and often no anesthetic at all. Feel the difference for yourself

Digital X-Rays
My office has been enjoying the benefits of digital dental x-rays for several years now. My patients appreciate the very limited radiation exposure, the ability to see their x-rays quickly on a computer screen and the time saved during their dental appointments due to the efficiency of digital x-rays. My team and I also appreciate the time saving factor of digital x-rays, but more importantly we appreciate the increased clarity and quality of these x-rays from a diagnostic stand point.

Intraoral Camera
While X-rays provide valuable information that we can't get from any other source, they can't show you everything that's going on inside your mouth.  That is why I have invested in a n intraoral camera, a highly advanced piece of diagnostic equipment that allows you to see what we see inside your mouth.  The intraoral camera handpiece is aproximately the size and shape of a dental mirror.  it has a built-in light source and serves as a tiny video camera that allows us to zoom in on one tooth with 25 times the magnification or give you a virtual tour of your entire mouth.  The images are displayed on a television or computer monitor, so you'll be able to see problems, such as worn or broken fillings, cracked teeth, plaque deposits, cavities next to fillings and excessive wear.  We can even print an image for you to take home.  When you see what we see, you will have a clear understanding of your dental condition and be able to make treatment decisions with confidence.

Sinsational Smile Teeth Whitening System
Imagine...a whiter and more vibrant smile in only 20 minutes!!  It's safe, comfortable and affordable.  This system combines LED technology with an exclusively formulated whitening (FDA approved) gel. This special gel contains more than just ingredients for whitening. It contains a  catalyst which when combined with LED light, activates the whitening gel to work at a faster rate, resulting in a brighter smile and whiter teeth in less time with minimal or no sensitivity.
